About Daron Brown Th.M. PSY.D
In 2003, Daron became Assistant Warden of Jetson Correctional Facility; later becoming Deputy Director of the facility in 2007, and then Director in 2008. I retired in 2013 after a successful journey with the Youth Facility. In 2013, Daron joined the Our Lady of Lake Security team, and in 2014 was appointed Security Supervisor. Daron continues to lead the evening shift team and is an influential contributor within the department and organization. Daron was appointed to Security Supervisor at Our Lady of Lake Security Children’s Hospital. Daron was a CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Trainer for Our Lady of Lake Children’s Hospital. This is a Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Course promoting effective, safe behavioral management for individuals encountering crisis situations.
Daron served as Intern Chaplain at Our Lady of Lake North Baton Rouge Emergency/ Urgent Care Facility and St. Clare Manor.
In 2017, Daron received his Bachelor of Theology from St. John Bible Institute. In 2018, Daron Brown received his Master of Theology from St. John Bible Institute. Daron enrolled Clinical Pastoral Education Program (CPE) and complete one unit in June 2018. Daron Brown received his Doctorate in Biblical Psychology in 2020 from Hope Bible Institute. Daron Brown is a Licensed Professional Christian Therapist (License Number DB861093) through American Association of Christian Therapists. He also has an associate degree from the University of Phoenix in Criminal Justice.
Daron transferred to Health Centers in Schools in 2020, which is still part of Our Lady of Lake Hospital. On June 30, 2023, he departed Health Centers in Schools. On June 30, 2023, Daron Brown signed a contract with the Mayor’s Offices under his Business Bridge Therapy LLC. He worked with at-risk students, high suspensions, experience traumatic experiences or witness a traumatic experience, returning to school for being incarcerated or suspension, or just in need of a mentor. Daron also worked with adults in the community, by assisting them with employment, educational opportunities, and housing.
Daron has one Daughter Jalyn Brown.
Daron has received many awards throughout his career, his most recent award was the Franciscan Service Award February 2018 from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. This award recognizes the outstanding performance of team members who extend their talents and gifts to promote the Spirit of healing to all of God’s children, with Joyfulness of Spirit, Humility and Justice.
